Kane strikes again as Bayern sweep Frankfurt aside

Harry Kane continued his sensational scoring run as Bayern Munich eased to a 3-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt, maintaining their perfect start to the Bundesliga season and extending their lead at the top to four points.

It took the reigning champions barely 15 seconds to make their mark in Frankfurt, with Luis Díaz sliding in at the back post to turn home Serge Gnabry’s driven cross for the fastest goal of the Bundesliga campaign so far. From that moment, Vincent Kompany’s side looked in complete control.

Kane almost doubled Bayern’s lead shortly after, only to see a header clip the crossbar, before Frankfurt thought they had found a route back when Jean-Mattéo Bahoya curled brilliantly into the top corner. Their celebrations were short-lived, however, as a VAR check ruled out the effort for a handball by Ritsu Doan in the build-up.

The hosts were made to pay minutes later when Kane struck yet another milestone goal - his 11th in just six league appearances - firing a precise low drive into the bottom corner after being teed up by Díaz.

The finish saw the England captain become the first player in Bundesliga history to hit 11 goals after six matchdays,

Frankfurt, who had scored freely in their opening games, struggled to find their rhythm against Bayern’s relentless press. Serge Gnabry and Joshua Kimmich both went close early in the second half before Kane rattled the post again with a curling effort from distance.

Bayern’s third arrived late on, and fittingly, it was Díaz who sealed the points with his second of the match. The Colombian skipped past Robin Koch before drilling home at the near post to round off a dominant performance for Kompany’s men.

The result makes it ten wins from ten in all competitions for Bayern this season - their best-ever start to a campaign - and sets up a mouthwatering top-of-the-table clash with Borussia Dortmund after the international break.
