Walter Kannemann returned to Grêmio training on Tuesday, 15 days after a muscle injury diagnosis. He joined the morning session at CT Luiz Carvalho, which began open to the media.
According to Globo.com, the centre-back has recovered from a grade two injury in his left thigh, and will be reassessed by doctors and physiotherapists to decide whether he can be named in upcoming squads.
Kannemann started the 1-0 defeat to São José at the Arena on 14 January. He had been away from on-field work since then.
Forward Braithwaite and midfielder Villasanti remain under the care of the Department of Science, Health and Performance. Their returns are expected between the end of March and the start of April.
The Dane ruptured the Achilles tendon in his left leg, and the Paraguayan ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.
