According to Fabrizio Romano, Karim Adeyemi's heading to Napoli is now close to happening, as the clubs have reached a complete agreement. The fee will be less than the previously reported 50 million euros, and a financial package of around 40 million is already well advanced.
For now, both clubs are reportedly focused on the weekend's matches. While Napoli aims to maintain its good form and remain at the top of Serie A against Juventus, Borussia Dortmund needs to bounce back from its poor form against Werder Bremen at Signal Iduna Park.
Following this weekend, talks will continue regarding a green light to make this move materialize. Despite the agreement seemingly being in place, Karim Adeyemi still needs to make up his mind and confirm the transfer, as Romano already indicated good talks between Karim and the Italians this week.
Patrick Berger, however, claims that there is no official agreement between the clubs, and Karim's best interest is to stay at Dortmund for now. According to Berger, Napoli's price tag is also different: 52.5 million euros (~ €45m + €7.5m).
It's still unclear whether Karim Adeyemi will leave this winter, but his role in the match against Bremen could be a good sign of his future.
