Karim Benzema has been a busy man in Al-Ittihad’s Saudi Pro League clash with Al-Taawoun on Fridau evening.
The former Real Madrid star got his side on the board with a 22nd minute header away from home, but it was the Benzema himself who helped Al-Taawoun get back into the affair.
Just four minutes later the striker put the ball into the back of the net once again, but this time it was his own net!
It was Benzema’s first own-goal of his career, coming all the way at the age of 35, in the twilight of his lucrative career.
Al-Taawoun currently sit three points ahead of third place Al-Ittihad, so the blunder could come back to hurt Benzema and his side.
