Karius and Katic miss Schalke training as Bachmann returns | OneFootball

Schalke were without Loris Karius and Nikola Katic at team training today, Wednesday 11 February.

According to WAZ, both players missed the session.

Defender Katic cut short his workout yesterday and is undergoing further examinations. Schalke are well stocked at centre-half, yet his absence would still be a significant blow.

Karius trained individually yesterday and did not train at all today. It remains to be seen whether loanee Kevin Müller will debut on Sunday against Kiel or if Karius recovers in time.

One positive for the Gelsenkirchen side was Janik Bachmann being pictured back in full training on Tuesday morning. Head coach Miron Muslic has praised him this season, highlighting his versatility. The midfielder has already featured as a striker, in the number ten role and as a defensive number six.
