Sport BILD reports that Lennart Karl and Serge Gnabry have begun rehabilitation at Bayern Munich’s Säbener Straße ahead of next season.
Karl has returned to the training ground to start indoor work. He is unlikely to be ready for the start of pre-season and is expected to be out for eight weeks, with Bayern not taking any risks.
His aim is to be fully fit for the first competitive match on 22 August, the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup against Borussia Dortmund.
Gnabry continued his programme on Monday at the same site under rehab manager Benjamin Sommer. The Germany international ran laps and took part in ball drills, all in running shoes rather than football boots.
He was initially expected to miss up to four months, around two and a half have already passed. Like Karl, his target is to return for the start of the 2026-27 season in August.
