Arsenal have been dealt a blow with the news that Katie Reid has suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
The teenage defender picked up the injury during training and is now set to miss the remainder of the 2025/26 campaign.
Reid had started the season in excellent form and earned a call-up to Sarina Wiegman's England team only to pull out due to a minor injury.
"Katie is being closely supported by our medical team at Sobha Realty Training Centre, and everyone at Arsenal looks forward to seeing her return to action as soon as possible," a statement from the club said confirming the injury.
Reid is the seventh WSL player to pick up an ACL injury early into the current season, with teammates Manuela Zinsberger and Michelle Agyemang (who was on loan at Brighton) among that list.
The news also leaves Renée Slegers’ defence light with Leah Williamson still yet to return to full fitness.
