Everton will entertain Manchester City at Goodison Park this Wednesday night as they try to secure all three points at home in the Premier League. The Toffees suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur recently, so they would be eager to secure a good result in midweek. Sean Dyche will set his men up in a 5-4-1 formation and is expected to make one change to his first XI for this game. Michael Keane will get a chance to play from the start of this contest as Everton are sweating on the fitness of Idrissa Gueye going into this game.

Defence Jordan Pickford will function in goal for the Toffees after conceding a couple of goals in his last league outing. Dyche could opt for a back three of James Tarkowski, Michael Keane and Jarrod Branthwaite as they look to defend their penalty box well during the 90 minutes. Nathan Patterson will get an opportunity to shine as the right-back while Vitaliy Mykolenko hopes to catch the eye on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them need to keep things solid defensively if they are to restrict the Man City wide player from scoring in midweek. Ben Godfrey will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield James Garner and Andre Onana will anchor the midfield for the Merseyside club at the centre of the park. Dwight McNeil will try to give a good account of himself on the left flank while Jack Harrison hopes to put in a good display as the right-winger. Both of them need to find a way to stretch the Man City backline throughout the 90 minutes. Andre Gomes and Arnaut Danjuma will have to settle for a place on the bench as they wait for their chance to make an impact in the latter stages of the contest if needed. Attack Dominic Calvert-Lewin will lead the charge for Everton on the offensive end of the pitch. The English forward would be eager to cause problems for the opposition defenders after failing to score versus Spurs last weekend. Beto will be named on the bench and might come on in the second half if required.
