“Keep an eye” | Ramsey still top Potter target

West Ham are still very much in for Jacob Ramsey this summer.

Despite the ongoing doubts over a possible switch to east London, with reports of interest from Newcastle and also a possible new contract offer from Aston Villa – West Ham remain firmly in the hunt.

As we have maintained throughout, Ramsey is a top target for Potter, with a real belief he can be swayed to head to east London this summer.

Although it’s understood there is an interest from the player to explore what Newcastle has to offer, he is open to playing under Potter, with the club hopeful a deal can be reached.

With talks for Mateus Fernandes under way, West Ham will now push ahead with talks for midfield targets including Ramsey.

It’s hoped that firm progress can be made in the coming days.
