Keith Andrews has signed a new long-term contract with Brentford, keeping him at the Gtech Community Stadium until summer 2032.
According to Hounslow Herald, the 45-year-old succeeded Thomas Frank in June 2025 and has Brentford seventh in the Premier League and into the FA Cup fifth round.
The eight-year deal signals strong backing from owner Matthew Benham and the board, rewarding a smooth rise from set-piece coach.
Director of football Phil Giles reviewed Andrews’ initial three-year agreement after nine months, noting the plan was always to assess early and that this season’s progress made an extension simple. He credited Andrews with clear improvements and a perfect cultural fit.
Andrews was a calculated but bold appointment after Frank’s move to Tottenham Hotspur, arriving without previous primary head coach experience yet shaping one of the league’s most efficient sides.
He steadied the club through a turbulent summer, losing backroom staff and key players including Bryan Mbuemo, captain Christian Norgaard and goalkeeper Mark Flekken, while Yoane Wissa’s exit was messy. New arrivals Jordan Henderson, Caoimhin Kelleher and Dango Ouattara have impressed, and a fully fit Igor Thiago has 17 league goals and two Player of the Month awards.
Brentford opened 2026 with a club-record points haul for that stage, beating Liverpool and Manchester United, doing the double over Newcastle and Aston Villa, and clawing back draws with Chelsea and Arsenal. The club’s promotion-from-within approach has paid off again, following the paths of Dean Smith and, especially, Frank.
