Brentford Women B triumphed in a dominant display against Kenningwell United, winning 7-0 to cruise into the fourth round of the junior section of the Capital Cup.

Leah Robertson and Rems Gardner scored first-half goals to put the Bees in the driving seat. Rebekah Edwards and Justine Buckmire then got on the scoresheet before Marta Boabonay bagged her third hat-trick of the season to round off an assertive win.

Robertson opened the scoring on 21 minutes when Buckmire made a crucial tackle and Maria Barbosa fired a long ball over the top into her path. She latched onto the pass before tucking a shot into the bottom corner.

Gardner then doubled the lead six minutes later, reacting quickest to a loose ball in the box and firing across the Kenningwell keeper to make it 2-0.

10 minutes after the restart, Edwards extended the advantage for Tommy Ryan-Maynard's side. Gardner played a clever reverse pass down the line to Boabonay, who showed strength and pace to burst past her full-back and cut the ball back for Edwards to finish.

Boabonay then turned goalscorer with a curling strike from range on 72 minutes.

Three minutes later, she had her second of the game when Freya Morgan found her on the edge of the box. The striker took a deft touch, spun and arrowed a fierce strike into the bottom-left corner.

Buckmire then got in on the action when the ball was spilled inside the six-yard box and the defender tapped home to make it 6-0.

Boabonay rounded off the scoring when Morgan fed her the ball just inside the opposition half. The striker in red-hot form drove with the ball and slotted through the keeper's legs to secure her third hat-trick and 21st goal of the season.

The B team are next in action at Bedfont and Feltham Social Club when they take on Holmesdale Keets on Sunday 25 January (2pm kick-off).
