Boabonay started as she meant to go on early in the clash, finding the back of the net on 11 minutes. Pressing hard, she forced a loose pass from the Kenningwell backline and made no mistake once in possession, handing the Bees an early 1-0 buffer.
Despite the early dominance, Brentford had to wait until just before half-time to secure their second goal.
After winning the ball back on the wing, the west Londoners went straight on the counterattack, with Boabonay eventually taking possession outside the box. The forward wasted little time and fired at goal, with the ball sailing into the top of the net to double the Bees’ lead.
After the break, Kenningwell were desperate to get the game back on their terms and, as the hour mark passed, they did just that.
After winning the ball back high up the pitch, Georgina Perry followed Boabonay’s lead and launched a long-range strike, with the ball beating a diving Sophie Boycott in goal for Brentford and hitting the bottom right corner.
At 2-1, the game remained tense, with both sides feeling like the result could fall their way.
The stranglehold was broken with 10 minutes to go, however, as Morgan found the back of the net with an unbelievable strike to restore the visitors’ two-goal lead.
Following strong pressure on the wing, the Bees won the ball back, with Morgan pushing forward with the ball. She launched a long-range strike from the right side, the ball sailing into the net.
With two minutes to play, Boabonay, who had three times scored a brace this season, finally found her hat-trick with a superb goal. Lining up a free-kick from long range, the forward made no mistake, with her strike beating the goalkeeper and sailing into the back of the net.
The win means Brentford sit three points clear at the top of the table, ahead of second-place South London Reserves.
The Bees are back home this Sunday to face Hammersmith Reserves from 3pm.
