According to L’Équipe, experienced right-back Kenny Lala is poised to prolong his stay at Stade Brestois. Since joining the club in early December, Lala has showcased his defensive qualities and attacking contributions, cementing his place in Les Pirates’ starting lineup.
Lala, 31, has made an immediate impact since his arrival, featuring in 15 appearances in Ligue 1 for Stade Brestois. In addition to his defensive contributions, the former Strasbourg man has provided two assists in Ligue 1 since January.
The club’s management and coaching staff have expressed their satisfaction with Lala’s impact on the team and their desire to secure his services for the upcoming seasons. Ongoing discussions are taking place to extend his contract beyond this season.
Brest are also in discussions with manager Eric Roy over a new contract, as he led the Breton side to a safe finish in Ligue 1 in what has been a challenging context of four relegation places in the league.
