Kervin Arriaga is a doubt for Levante’s derby with Valencia on Sunday at the Ciutat de València, the midfielder still following LaLiga’s medical protocol after a heavy head clash with Unai Simón that saw him taken off on a stretcher.

According to Superdeporte, he did not join group training this morning. Luís Castro also has Matías Moreno and Víctor García available again, the former after concussion and the latter after a muscle injury.

Alan Matturro and Jeremy Toljan are suspended after cautions at San Mamés last Sunday, leaving the Portuguese coach to reshape his back line.

The only confirmed absentee is Roger Brugué, who remains in rehabilitation from a rupture of the lateral collateral ligament in his left knee.

The next 48 hours will be key to decide if Arriaga features against the Mestalla side, with the decision to depend on how he feels and whether he is ready. Castro could choose caution rather than risk the player’s wellbeing.
