According to L'ÉEquipe, Kévin Danois is expected to head to the Premier League, with Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest making the Auxerre midfielder a late-window priority. A move before one September is in play.
A deal could exceed €30m, a level that would prompt serious consideration at Auxerre, and put the club on course for the biggest sale in their history. The current record is Djibril Cissé’s €20m switch to Liverpool in 2004.
No formal bid is believed to have been lodged yet. Palace have positioned for the 22-year-old, and Forest are also moving.
Auxerre want to keep their France Under-21 international, who is under contract until June 2029, but a substantial bid would force a rethink amid the domestic television-rights crisis. It would also underline their selling strength six months after Rudy Matondo joined Paris FC for €17m.
After emerging as one of Ligue 1’s revelations in 2024-25, Danois backed it up last season with an all-action box-to-box game, helping secure survival in the run-in. His market value has climbed beyond €20m, a level few outside the Premier League can match.
