Manchester City and Belgium star Kevin De Bruyne has been inducted into the ‘Walk of Fame’ at the Proximus Basecamp in Tubize.

The 33-year-old remains actively involved in the Belgium international team following the European Championship in Germany this summer, and is set to be involved in upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures against Israel and France this month.

De Bruyne embarked on his 10th season with Manchester City last month, and has featured in all four matches for Pep Guardiola’s side this season, starting all three Premier League wins over Chelsea, Ipswich Town and West Ham.

The midfielder scored during a 4-1 win over Ipswich at the Etihad Stadium, and has also registered one assist in the Premier League so far this campaign.

De Bruyne missed the opening months of last season due to undergoing hamstring surgery, but returned in the January to help propel the Sky Blues to a record-breaking fourth successive Premier League title, and to captain Belgium at the Euro’s across June and July.

The Manchester City star surpassed 100 caps for Belgium ahead of the European Championship, and prior to upcoming Nations League fixtures, the achievement was marked at the Belgian FA headquarters.

The 33-year-old, who has now made 105 senior appearances for the Belgium national team, was inducted into the famous ‘Walk of Fame’ at the Proximus Basecamp in Tubize ahead of two Nations League fixtures.

De Bruyne’s feet were unveiled cast in bronze, with the midfielder joining the likes of Eden Hazard, Thibaut Courtois, Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen, Romelu Lukaku, Dries Mertens, Janice Cayman and Aline Zeler on the prestigious strip.

The Manchester City midfielder was also presented with a trophy as part of the ceremony.

Manchester City teammate Jeremy Doku is also part of the Belgium squad for fixtures against Israel and France.
