Kevin « Mighty Mouse » Keegan, the only Englishman to win the Ballon d'Or twice, in 1978 and 1979, has died aged 75.

According to L'Équipe, he died on Monday 20 July from stage four cancer, the most advanced form of the disease.

His career did not receive the recognition it deserved, a reality he accepted.
