Kevin Phillips: Enzo Le Fée has 'every chance' of international call after Sunderland milestone

Kevin Phillips has hailed Enzo Le Fée’s impact at Sunderland and says the 26-year-old could earn international recognition if he maintains his current level.
Speaking to Sunderland Echo, the Sunderland legend said the playmaker has brought real quality, was a major coup and settled quickly on Wearside. He believes Le Fée can still improve, and that if he keeps performing as he is he has every chance of making the step up.
Phillips added: "He’s performing on the biggest stage in the world in the Premier League."
After turning his initial loan into a permanent deal in the summer, Le Fée has impressed in his debut Premier League campaign, returning four goals and five assists.
Head coach Regis Le Bris also commended the midfielder after he reached his 50-game milestone in the North East, highlighting his consistency and versatility.
Le Bris said: "This season, the Premier League is probably the hardest and most demanding league in the world so if you can stay consistent as he was, it shows something."
He added: "He's always smart, always well-connected with the squad. Always keen to do the tasks, even if it's a defensive task, he will do it with purpose. He's a good team-mate and a really good player."
