A leading member of the attacking ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona has this week left the club surprised.

This comes amid confirmation of Raphinha weighing up his future in Catalunya’s capital beyond the summer.

Wide-man Raphinha is of course in the midst of something of a hit-and-miss individual campaign to date.

Whilst his numbers in the attacking third remain stellar, the former Leeds United man has been hampered by a string of injury problems, forcing him to sit out considerable stretches of the term.

And such woes, alongside Barcelona’s latest disappointing Champions League exit, are understood to be weighing heavy on the heart of the attacker.

As per a report from Diario Sport:

‘Raphinha, in a phase of introspection, has transferred to the club existential doubts about the future.’

Whilst the most likely scenario remains the 29-year-old staying put at the Camp Nou for at least one more season, he has opened the door to what would be a surprise exit this summer.

A number of leading clubs from the Saudi Pro League are keeping a close eye on the situation, ready to pounce in the case of Raphinha making his availability known.
