Kidderminster Harriers are snapping up Manchester United defender Max Taylor.

The Manchester Evening News says Taylor's move to the National League North side comes as great relief after an unsuccessful trial with MK Dons and a failed loan move to Macclesfield Town already this summer.

Sources close to player say he is 'feeling much stronger' than last season after utilising the lockdown months to improve on his personal fitness which saw him work with a personal trainer in order to improve muscle growth ahead of his first proper season in men's football.

Taylor was on the substitutes' bench for United in their Europa League loss to Astana last November, just 14 months after he had been diagnosed with testicular cancer and signed a one-year contract extension in May to keep him at the club until 2021.

The United youngster could be thrown straight into action for his new club if he signs before the weekend when Kidderminster start their campaign away at Alvechurch in the FA Cup second qualifying round on Saturday, before hosting Chester FC in their first match of the National League North season on Tuesday.
