As reported by ExpressAndStar.com, Kidderminster Harriers, Hednesford Town and Halesowen Town sealed play-off berths on the final day, while Sporting Khalsa were relegated from Northern West.
Kelvin Davis’ Hednesford started level on points with Hebburn Town, five goals worse on difference. Hebburn clinched the Northern Premier Division title with a 2-0 win at Rushall Olympic, already safe.
At Keys Park, Hednesford drew 3-3 with Ashton United. Montel Gibson struck first, Ashton led 3-1 at half-time, then Joe Doyle-Charles and George Williams earned a point, Williams in stoppage time. They host Stockton Town in a one-legged semi-final on Tuesday at 7.45pm and could face FC United of Manchester in the final.
Kidderminster, already guaranteed third in National League North, beat second-placed South Shields 1-0 through Ryley Reynolds. They could meet Shields in the final, but first have a semi-final next weekend after the midweek eliminators.
Halesowen claimed the final Southern Central Premier play-off spot with a 5-0 win at AFC Sudbury. Fin Holmes opened the scoring, Jordan Ponticelli added two, Jason Cowley hit his 31st league goal and Jak Hickman got the fifth. Russ Penn’s side visit Spalding United on Wednesday after Needham Market lost at home to Banbury.
Sporting Khalsa went down after a 2-1 defeat at Witton Albion. Andre Landell had put them ahead, a draw would have kept them up, but Witton equalised from the spot with 15 minutes left and Harry Woods struck in stoppage time. Congleton Town’s 4-0 win saw Khalsa overtaken.
