Bayern Munich’s decision to recruit another centre-back this summer is set to hinge on Kim Min-Jae’s future, according to Sky Germany.

The club are monitoring Nico Schlotterbeck and whether he opts to extend his contract at Borussia Dortmund.

Stade Rennes defender Jérémy Jacquet is also on Bayern’s radar, with Max Eberl said to be an admirer of the 20-year-old Frenchman.

There is strong competition for Jacquet from Premier League sides such as Chelsea, and he is expected to cost more than €50 million. Bayern believe their chances are slim, and a deal becomes even less likely if Kim Min-Jae stays.

Kim made a rare appearance on Wednesday night, scoring in the Bavarians’ 3-1 win over 1.FC Köln.
