Joshua Kimmich has answered Bastian Schweinsteiger's criticism after Germany lost 0-1 to Greece, acknowledging the team are short of the elite.
The defeat came on Sunday in Jürgen Klopp's first home match as head coach. Sky Germany later quoted the captain responding to Schweinsteiger's post-match view that Germany are now an average side.

"I can hardly disagree with that," Kimmich said. "At the moment, we are way off being a top team."
The Bayern Munich midfielder was asked for his reaction following the setback and aligned himself with the former Germany star's assessment.
Germany face Serbia on Thursday, when they will look for a first win under Klopp.
