Bayern Munich's Joshua Kimmich revealed after tonight's 2-1 win over PSG was one of the most draining first halves he's played to date.

“We were able to hurt them in the first-half. We didn't necessarily have a lot of possession, but we created chances. We were very present physically.

"It was one of the most intensive halves I've played in my career. In the second half we didn't have much going forward but we defended really well.

“It's not like they pinned us in our box and had big chances, they mostly had long shots, apart from João Neves' header,” Kimmich said.

Kimmich's teammate and compatriot Jonathan Tah also chimed in on the result and how he felt the game unfolded for the German champions.

“We started the game with a lot of intensity and had many chances. The first half was outstanding. In the second half we had to suffer and defend with 10 men.

“We couldn't press them high. There are always such moments in a season where you have to sit deep and defend. Today we showed that we can also do that,” Tah noted.
