The Leeds United Foundation are once again partnering with The Kings Trust to offer a week-long coaching course, giving young people the opportunity to study for the I Can Lead Award.

Run by the club’s official charity, the Get Started with Football Coaching programme will run between Monday 16th February and Friday 20th February 2026, with a taster day to be held for interested applicants at Elland Road on Tuesday 10th February 2026.

Aimed at 16 to 25-year-olds interested in developing both coaching and interpersonal skills, the week-long educational course offers an insight into sports leadership, allowing them to build their confidence, progress their coaching and develop a future action plan.

Learning from industry experts such as the Head of the Female Coaches Pathway, participants will get invaluable experience and a taste of what it is like to work in football coaching, in partnership with the Leeds United Foundation.

The qualification does not require a formal assessment to complete the programme, and offers progression into different courses, such as FA Playmaker, FA Level 1, Sports Leaders Level 1 and/or 2.
