Jakub Kiwior has been named I Liga Defender of the Month for August by the competition's head coaches.
According to O Jogo, the FC Porto centre-back topped the vote with 26.19 percent, ahead of Jan Bednarek with 15.48 percent and Braga's Vítor Carvalho.

Kiwior featured in all four of Porto's matches during the period, recording 24 ball recoveries.
Porto did not concede, defeating Alverca 2-0, Rio Ave 2-0, Arouca 2-0 and Académico de Viseu 3-0.
The Poland international and Bednarek are colleagues for club and country.
