Kiwior set for FC Porto stay: buy clause triggered by end of May

Officially signed by FC Porto on loan from Arsenal on September 1 of last year, Kiwior has long been regarded as a permanent FC Porto player. Although the purchase clause still needs to be triggered and the deal formally completed, Porto’s hierarchy realized early on that there was no way around paying the €17 million to the ‘gunners’ for the player, a figure that could be joined by a further €5 million depending on objectives.

With the deadline to activate that clause set for the end of May, the blue and whites still have time to get everything in order. There is no pressure, since all parties are already aligned on the next step, which will see Kiwior tied to FC Porto for several years.
