The final official ADMIRAL Bundesliga matchday of 2024 – before we host Klagenfurt next week in a rearranged match - sees a huge encounter at the Red Bull Arena as SK Rapid Vienna visit us this Saturday (7 December)! We still have a score to settle with the Green and Whites, having taken a disappointing 2-3 defeat in the capital back at the start of September.
We are feeling confident after our 4-0 home win against Hartberg during the week. The strong form of Robert Klauß's side has ceased in November, with their record in the last few weeks not being a good one. A draw in the league at Tirol and at home to Shamrock Rovers in the UEFA Conference League was followed by a slip-up at home to Blau-Weiss Linz. Rapid have already shown that they are a force to be reckoned with this season, however. Pepijn Lijnders faces a challenge in his defensive selections with Hendry Blank ill and Kamil Piatkowski a doubt after a thigh injury on Wednesday.
Our Red Bulls are eager for points though as they set their sights higher in the ADMIRAL Bundesliga! Be there at the Klassiker yourself if you can - tickets are still available in our Online Ticket Shop:
For fans at home, the clash will be broadcast as usual on Sky Sport Austria, OneFootball (internationally) and we will provide live text updates on this website.

It was very important for us that we turned our dominance against Hartberg into goals and got a win. That helps us for the next matches and gives us more confidence again. It will be difficult against Rapid as they are very determined and defensively solid - they have conceded fewer than any other team. We know what we have to set ourselves up for. We need a good performance in all aspects of the game, and I think it will be an exciting and great match.

As Rapid are really good in defence, in particular, we need creativity and coolness in attack and our finishing. We can't forget about the players holding the defence in place though, as they beat us on the break a couple of times in our last meeting in Vienna.
