Klopp ‘introduces’ new rules for Germany stars | OneFootball

Jürgen Klopp has introduced a stricter code for Germany’s squad since taking charge this summer, Sport Bild reports.

Staggered hotel dinners under Julian Nagelsmann have been replaced by fixed seatings, with players expected at seven pm or eight pm on the dot. The idea is for the whole squad to eat together.

On matchdays, phones are banned during activation work in the gym and while receiving massages. Players are encouraged to talk to team-mates at neighbouring treatment tables instead.

Haircuts at the hotel or team base are also off the list. Klopp’s stance is that, as on any business trip, grooming should be sorted before departure.

Family access has been tightened, moving from the previous open invitation to selected visits only. The focus, the report said, is on the group’s shared objective and growing together while in camp.

Germany begin the Klopp era against the Netherlands in the UEFA Nations League on Thursday.
