Klopp ‘to target’ Frankfurt forward Ebnoutalib for Germany | OneFootball

Jürgen Klopp has reportedly identified Eintracht Frankfurt forward Younes Ebnoutalib as a potential option for Germany as he assesses his first squads.

Klopp visited Frankfurt on Wednesday and was seen speaking with Ebnoutalib. Sky Sport reports the pair held a lengthy conversation.

The new Germany coach is said to be impressed by the 22-year-old and keen to persuade him to choose Germany.

Born in Frankfurt to a German mother and Moroccan father, Ebnoutalib is eligible for the DFB. He previously received a Morocco U15 call-up but has not played at senior level.

His rise has been rapid over the past 18 months, from fourth-tier FC Gießen at the start of 2025 to SV Elversberg, then a Bundesliga move to Frankfurt.

He began the new Bundesliga season in style, hitting a hat-trick in Eintracht’s opening-day draw with Union Berlin.
