Rangers manager Russell Martin is under increasing pressure after a 2-0 defeat to Hearts last Saturday, and the fans of the Ibrox club want him gone.

Rangers are without a win in five Scottish Premiership games so far in 2025-26, with four draws and a defeat to their name.

The Light Blues are back in action on Saturday when they host Hibernian in the quarter-final of the Scottish League Cup, and a defeat could end Martin’s three-month reign in the Ibrox dugout.

Rangers fans are convinced Martin will not last long, and Kris Boyd wants Sean Dyche to replace him should the board look to appoint someone else, citing his ‘strong character’ as what the Bears need.

Dyche brings plenty of experience to the table having managed 332 Premier League games across his spell with Burnley and Everton.

The former Watford boss has overseen a total of 558 games since becoming a manager in 2011, and he has what it takes to make Rangers a better team.

Dyche only has a win percentage of 34.41 as a manager, but his ability to deliver the goods cannot be denied, and he will fancy his chances of improving the Light Blues.

He could be holding out for a Premier League job as his name is expected to be on the wishlist of clubs that could look to make changes in the dugout in the coming weeks.

However, the opportunity to manage in Europe could be very appealing to him should Rangers come calling.

They begin their Europa League campaign next Thursday with a home game against Genk, and Martin has to start their continental campaign with a victory to boost his chances of holding on to his job.
