Kroos slams the SPL and reminds everyone of Cristiano Ronaldo’s central role

Former German star Toni Kroos believes that Cristiano Ronaldo's arrival at Al-Nassr marked a true turning point in the history of the Saudi league, giving it unprecedented international visibility.

Kroos: “Without Ronaldo, the Saudi league will lose all its appeal”

Speaking on his podcast (Einfach mal Luppen), Kroos stressed that the Saudi league had little media coverage before the Portuguese superstar joined.

He argued that downplaying Ronaldo’s contribution makes no sense, believing that his departure would lead to a significant drop in global interest in the competition.

Kroos stated: “The Saudi league is a strange phenomenon. No one had heard about it before Cristiano Ronaldo arrived, and now, they are disrespecting the man who put them on the world map.”

He added: “I’m telling you, if Cristiano leaves tomorrow, this league will lose all its appeal.”

An uncertain future for Ronaldo at Al-Nassr

Speculation about Ronaldo’s future at Al-Nassr is mounting, despite a contract running until 2027. Several reports suggest a possible departure and the end of his adventure with the club.
