Bournemouth salvaged a dramatic point at Elland Road thanks to Eli Kroupi’s stoppage-time strike, as Leeds United were forced to settle for a 2-2 draw.

The visitors had taken an early lead through Antoine Semenyo, who continued his fine start to the season with his fourth goal. The striker’s free-kick from the edge of the box fizzed past Karl Darlow, giving Bournemouth an advantage midway through the first half.

The hosts responded quickly, however, and Joe Rodon rose above the defence to powerfully head home from a Sean Longstaff corner, with a slight deflection off Djordje Petrovic helping the ball into the net.

After the interval, the Whites briefly took the upper hand. Longstaff showcased his own scoring touch by volleying home from the edge of the box in the 54th minute, putting the hosts ahead for the first time in the match.

Leeds’ defence held firm for much of the second half, repelling several Bournemouth attempts as the visitors sought another equaliser.

Just as it seemed Leeds might hang on for the win, Junior Kroupi struck a composed volley in stoppage time to deny the hosts all three points.
