Denied a World Cup, Georgian forward Khvitcha Kvaratskhelia spent the summer recharging and working on his own. He wants to restart with PSG as he ended last season, at full tilt, with the Ballon d'Or in mind.
According to L'Équipe, the winger aims to hit the same tempo from the very first weeks of the new campaign.
Since arriving, Luis Enrique’s off-seasons have been anything but smooth. He handled Kylian Mbappé’s sidelining in 2023, then the post-Mbappé transition in 2024, and in 2025 there was little preparation because of the Club World Cup.
Now, at the start of his fourth season, the coach of the double European champions heads into early fixtures without several senior players.
With the World Cup overlapping summer, the last internationals are due back at the Poissy campus between eight and 10 August. It is hard to see them at 100 percent in Salzburg on 12 August for the UEFA Super Cup against Aston Villa.
Four days later comes the Trophée des champions at Bollaert against Lens.
