Désiré Doué had already given the competition holders a deserved lead in the first half, and Luis Enrique's side have not eased up as they continue to pile the pressure on the Merseyside outfit.

In the 65th minute, Kvaratskhelia rounded his Georgian compatriot Giorgi Mamardashvili to put the hosts two goals ahead.

He continues his outstanding goalscoring form this season, having scored three times against Chelsea over two legs in the round of 16.

That's now 12 goal contributions for the winger in this season's competition, while he's also become the first PSG player to score in four consecutive knockout matches in the Champions League.

Moments later, PSG were denied a penalty following VAR intervention, as matters very nearly went from bad to worse for Liverpool.

Is it tie over, or can Liverpool find a way back into this ahead of the return leg at Anfield?
