After an exhilarating late 3-3 draw in Lower Saxony, 1.FC Köln head coach Lukas Kwasniok shared his thoughts on a game that had it all - including thunderstorm interruptions.

“Wolfsburg were the better team after the thunderstorm break and at the start of the second half. We were determined to get a point in the closing stages, and the team worked hard for it over the 105 minutes,” he explained.

Asked about how he motivated his troops to approach the game and respond from going a goal behind twice, Kwasniok harked back to an age-old football metaphor.

"I told the team at the start that football is always unpredictable in terms of results. But we want to be predictable in the sense that we'll give everything we can over the 90 minutes to get points and hurt the opponent until the end.

Effzeh's coach also singled out Said El-Mala, Florian Kainz and Ragnar Ache for their respective performances off the bench to salvage a point.

“Said is definitely a weapon. But being a weapon from the start is something else entirely. He changes a game – just like Ragnar in his own way and Kainzi in his own way," he added.
