As reported by Voetbalkrant, in an interview the brother of Eden Hazard and Thorgan Hazard, Kylian Hazard, spoke of his desire to one day play for Standard Liege. The former Cercle Brugge winger spoke of how Standard were the club he dreams of. ‘The supporters are always behind the players, whether things are going well or badly. I like to play in that kind of atmosphere’ the 27-year-old now RWDM Molenbeek winger said.
Hazard has played for a wide variety of clubs over his career, including Lille’s youth academy, Chelsea and Zulte Waregem. He joined Cercle Brugge in the summer of 2019 from Chelsea, having had a successful loan spell with the club. During his time with the Green and Black he played 68 games, scoring six goals and providing seven assists.
However, he fell out of favour at the club and spent the 2021/2022 season on loan with Molenbeek. He played 10 games during the loan spell, scoring twice. The side failed to win promotion after losing in the relegation play-off’s to RFC Seraing. The side were impressed and signed him permanently in the summer. During the 2022/2023 season he has played 11 games and provided two assists. Molenbeek are currently top of the Belgian second tier.
