Kylian Mbappé ‘could miss’ Real Madrid v Real Sociedad with knee issue

Kylian Mbappé could miss Real Madrid’s Liga meeting with Real Sociedad because of a knee problem.

Marca reports that the France captain skipped training for a second straight day on Thursday as he manages discomfort in his left knee, and he is following a specific protocol designed to settle a problem dating back to late last year.

The fixture is part of the 24th round of Liga.

Since the start of the calendar year, Mbappé, 27, has missed three matches, one in Liga against Betis Seville, one in the Spanish Super Cup against Atlético Madrid, and one in the Copa del Rey against Albacete.

In Liga this season he has 23 goals and 4 assists in 22 appearances, 8 more than Mallorca striker Vedat Muriqi, the division’s second top scorer.
