France have confirmed the squad numbers for their 26 players for the World Cup from 11 June to 19 July, with Kylian Mbappé taking 10 and Ousmane Dembélé seven.
The federation announced in a post on X on Friday that each player had selected his number. Real Madrid forward Mbappé will be at a third straight World Cup with the same shirt, after Russia 2018 and Qatar 2022.
Dembélé will contest his first major finals with seven, a shirt previously worn at Euros and World Cups by Antoine Griezmann, the 2025 Ballon d'Or winner.
Dembélé's previous number, 11, has been taken by Michael Olise, the Bayern Munich player, who had already used it in earlier France camps.
The number nine, worn by Olivier Giroud at recent major tournaments, now belongs to Marcus Thuram.
