Kylian Mbappé marks France scoring record with special 58 shirt and message of pride

The day after his World Cup brace in a 3-1 win against Senegal sealed his status as France's all-time leading scorer with 58, Kylian Mbappé shared his pride on social media.

The Real Madrid forward posted on Wednesday. The player said in a post that he was hugely proud to become the national team's record scorer, thanked his team-mates, staff and the FFF for their trust since day one, and thanked supporters, adding that there is still a lot to do.

He also became France's leading scorer at the World Cup, with 14.

He received a special France shirt printed with 58.

Presented at the table by Didier Deschamps, it was signed by his team-mates, with the France captain seated alongside Michael Olise and Ousmane Dembélé.
