It has been six months since Kylian Mbappe joined Real Madrid on a free transfer, which, at the time, was hailed as a masterstroke.

Since then, though, the forward had to endure a bumpy ride, with many criticising his lack of consistency and productivity in the final third.

Mbappe, nevertheless, has done well so far, racking up 14 goals and 4 assists, as we enter the halfway stage of the season.

Mbappe on his favourite memory at Real Madrid

Mbappe made an appearance in a recent documentary, where he discussed his Real Madrid career so far while recalling some of his past memories.

When asked about his favourite memory so far, Mbappe notably recalled his debut for Real Madrid earlier this year, where he scored a winner.

Recalling the debut, the Frenchman said (h/t Madrid Xtra), “A memory? My debut, it was the best debut possible, we won the title.”

Mbappe was indeed a livewire in his debut against Atalanta, with his goal helping Real Madrid secure the UEFA Super Cup.

The Frenchman was also asked about a 2022 picture. Mbappe, though, was quick to state, “I didn’t like this year much, because I was playing for PSG and played against.”

Though this is no secret, Mbappe also confessed that Cristiano Ronaldo was his idol since childhood.

“He was my idol as a child,” Mbappe said while overlooking his wall on the documentary.

Mbappe and Ronaldo have maintained quite a close relationship as well, though they have hardly faced each other on the pitch.

Meanwhile, a recent statistic has shown that Mbappe, at this stage of the season, has outperformed Ronaldo.
