Kylian Mbappé marked his comeback with a superb solo opener as Real Madrid faced Alavés on Sunday night.

L'Équipe notes that head coach Xabi Alonso is under pressure after two defeats in the past seven days.

Restored to the starting XI after missing one match with knee discomfort, Mbappé was Real’s most dangerous player in the first half.

Fed on the left, he cut inside and whipped a right-footed shot into the far corner for 1-0 in the 24th minute.

The strike put Real Madrid in front.
