Sport Bild reports that Kylian Mbappé has been trying to persuade France teammate Michael Olise to join him at Real Madrid. It adds that the 24-year-old would like to leave Bayern Munich for Madrid this summer.

The report says Mbappé made his pitch during the World Cup, telling Olise that Real Madrid need and want him, while praising life in the city, from exclusive restaurants to warm weather.

It further notes that, after France’s semi-final exit against Spain, Olise’s desire to win a major trophy has grown, and he believes his Champions League prospects are higher in Madrid than in Munich.

Bayern are reluctant to sell and remain in a strong position, with Olise under contract until 2029 and without a release clause. There has been no contact between the clubs, and that would only change if Olise personally informs both that he wants the transfer.

Spanish media have suggested that Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez would be willing to pay more than €200 million for Olise. Bayern supervisory board member Uli Hoeneß has previously made it clear that even a fee in that region would not convince the German champions to sell.
