Kylian Mbappe's mother and agent says they are determined to recoup owed wages from former club Paris Saint-Germain following his long-awaited move to Real Madrid.

The France captain's exit from PSG was filled with drama and he revealed earlier this year the club threatened to keep him on the sidelines for the entire 2023/24 season before a compromise was found.

Mbappe also revealed he was "spoken to violently" and thanked manager Luis Enrique and sporting director Luis Campos for helping him during the contract dispute.

The 25-year-old was unveiled by Madrid this week but Fayza Lamari has revealed there are still monetary issues for Mbappe and PSG to sort out.

She told Le Parisien: "It is now in the hands of Kylian's representatives. But I trust PSG to get things back to normal very quickly. We have just received a letter from them. Decisions will be made. Sometimes, when you separate, you have to decide who gets the television, who gets the furniture or the car.

"That's what we're working on. I hope that all this does not tarnish everything we've been through, that we don't leave it like this. As in a couple, once again, everything is never rosy, there are ups and downs. But in six months, things will be better.

"If we have no other choice, yes, we will go to court, of course.

"Now, I really hope that the contract we signed two years ago is respected. Let's stop saying that Kylian said, didn't say, did this, didn't do that. In reality, no one can say what happened, neither me, nor the representatives of PSG, because for two years Kylian and the president have always met alone, apart from once.

"And all that has not prevented Kylian from playing since the announcement was made in February."

Mbappe left PSG on a free transfer after rejecting the offer to extend his stay in France and signs for Madrid after their La Liga and Champions League double-winning season.
