Etta Eyong has become a man in demand in European football after his explosive performances in La Liga this year, first with Villarreal and now with Levante, whom he joined in the summer.
FC Barcelona, for one, have been admirers of the Cameroonian international for a while now. Having explored a move for the 22-year-old in the summer, the Blaugrana have identified him as a possible candidate to replace Robert Lewandowski in 2026.
At the same time, though, other clubs across Europe are also interested in signing Eyong, with one team even making their initial move.
Indeed, according to reports in England, as relayed by Mundo Deportivo, Levante have already rejected a €30 million offer for Eyong from CSKA Moscow, currently second in the Russian Premier League.
The centre-forward’s release clause is set at €30 million for domestic transfers within Spain and €40 million for clubs outside Europe. And, CSKA’s offer was short of this mark, with Levante rejecting their proposal.

Recently, Levante CEO Jose Danvila himself confirmed that he receives offers for Eyong “every day,” making it clear that “this winter the player will not leave, mainly because our priority is to stay up.”
As has already been reported, apart from Barcelona, clubs like Real Madrid, Manchester United, Manchester City, and Arsenal are also monitoring Eyong and are interested.
The striker, for his part, is eager to resolve his future and sign for a new team in January and then continue at Levante on loan for the rest of the season.
So, it remains to be seen how things evolve in the coming weeks and whether the mounting interest in Eyong makes Barcelona act swiftly.
