The Spanish top flight will no longer air on beIN Sports in France from the new season, with Disney+ and DAZN taking over coverage.
"The time had come to open a new chapter. Disney+ and DAZN presented us with an ambitious vision, combining a large audience and real expertise in sport," he told Le Monde.
"Streaming has become a natural mode of consumption for millions of people... We see an opportunity to reach more fans, not a risk of losing them."
The switch ends a 14-year run on beIN Sports that began with the channel’s French launch in 2012. With beIN’s contract expiring, both platforms will each hold 100% of the rights, so matches will not be split between them.
For beIN Sports, it is the loss of another flagship property, long fronted by Benjamin Da Silva and Omar da Fonseca. It follows the recent loss of its Saturday afternoon Ligue 1 match, and comes two years after it gave up Serie A rights, which DAZN took from summer 2025. The broadcaster still holds the Bundesliga, the Coupe de France and Ligue 2.
