LAFC have acquired forward Thayllon Roberth on loan from Brazilian Série B side Avaí FC, the club announced Thursday.

The 20-year-old Brazilian's loan lasts through June 2027 and includes a purchase option. He will occupy U22 Initiative and international roster spots.

Thayllon produced 12g/11a in 71 appearances across all competitions for Avaí since breaking into the first team in April 2025.

"Thayllon is a dynamic young player who will add creativity, quality, and excitement to our attack," said LAFC president of soccer operations John Thorrington. "His performances in Brazil have demonstrated both his ability to impact games now and the considerable potential he has to develop.

"We are excited that he has chosen LAFC despite significant competition for his signature, and we look forward to helping him continue his development as he contributes to our pursuit of trophies."

Thayllon is LAFC's fourth international signing this summer, following Finnish midfielder Leo Walta, German forward Armindo Sieb and Ecuadorian midfielder Sergio Vásquez.

These arrivals come amid the Black & Gold transferring U22 Initiative standout David Martínez to Danish Superliga side FC Midtjylland for a reported $8.5 million fee.

LAFC are third in the Western Conference (36 points) in their first season under head coach Marc Dos Santos.
