The MLS Disciplinary Committee has issued the following rulings following Matchday 27 of the 2026 season.

Long fined

The MLS Disciplinary Committee has fined LAFC defender Aaron Long for failing to leave the field in a timely manner in the 36th minute of LAFC’s match against the San Jose Earthquakes on September 19.

Martínez fined

The MLS Disciplinary Committee has fined New York City FC forward Alonso Martínez for violating the league’s policy regarding simulation/embellishment in the 71st minute of NYCFC's match against Red Bull New York on September 18.

Philadelphia, Kansas City fined

The MLS Disciplinary Committee has found the Philadelphia Union and Sporting Kansas City in violation of the Mass Confrontation Policy in the 45th+ minute of their match on September 19.

Both clubs have violated the policy for the first time this season, and fines have been issued to both clubs, Philadelphia Union head coach Ryan Richter, and Sporting Kansas City head coach Raphaël Wicky

Due to their roles in the mass confrontation, Philadelphia Union forward Bruno Damiani, midfielder Danley Jean Jacques, defender Kai Wagner, and athletic trainer Paul Rushing, and Sporting Kansas City forward Stephen Afrifa, midfielder Zorhan Bassong, defender Moisés Mosquera, and assistant coach Ashley Wallace will be fined for inciting and/or escalating a mass confrontation.
