Laila Harbert moves to Everton on loan | OneFootball

Everton have announced the signing of England youth international Laila Harbert on loan until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old joins from Arsenal in what is her fourth loan deal away from the club having also featured for Watford, Southampton, and most recently NWSL side Portland Thorns.

"I am really excited to be here," Harbert said on her arrival at the club. "It is a big club with big ambitions and I am really excited to get going.

"Goodison Park is a big stadium – one that I think I will enjoy playing in. I have heard the fans are really good as well, so it will be nice to see them on Sunday.

"I am a very passionate player myself. The fans getting behind us here will really help us towards the second half of the season.

"I can’t wait to meet everyone and get started. Hopefully, I can help the team kick on."

Harbert could make her debut in Sunday's fixture at home to Aston Villa as Everton look for their first win at Goodison Park this season having drawn one and lost six of seven games on home turf this season.
