The UEFA Champions League clash between Real Madrid and FC Bayern is just around the corner, and Konrad Laimer has the utmost respect for the Whites ahead of the two games
When Real Madrid and FC Bayern meet, the match is bound to be explosive. Although the Spaniards have tended to have luck on their side in recent games, Bayern’s overall record against the Whites is not bad
This time, the game seems to be more open than ever, as Real are not playing a breathtakingly good season, while FC Bayern are stable in all competitions. The players and officials believe they have a good chance
So does Konrad Laimer. The Austrian gave an interview on ServusTV, in which the duel with the Whites was also discussed. „We have a very good team, we play very good soccer. But in the hard-fought games against the top teams, you sometimes need the right momentum, that certain something. We are in a very good position. Now it’s April and we will play the games we all want to play. We’ll see what happens,“ said the defensive player

Laimer will also have a key role to play and will have to try to play a good role in counter-attacking in particular. The Austrian will have to deal with Real’s quick wingers. He also stressed once again that the quality on both sides is enormous. „They are two incredible teams with inexhaustible individual class. We play soccer and train hard every day for games like this. We have every chance of progressing. We just have to be better than them on matchday.“
Manchester City learned that this is not quite so easy in the round of 16. The English side under coach Pep Guardiola ultimately lost both games against Real Madrid. Bayern have therefore been warned.
